Sorry for the late response. We are using Exchange 2007 and SysAid 7.0.4. For the option to mange full access permissions, go to your Exchange server. Open up Management Console, click on Recipient Configuration and then Mailboxes. Find the boxes for your admins and either right click on them or look on the right hand side for "Manage Full Access Permissions..." then click on the SysAid account you created in the earlier steps to that mailbox and now that user and make changes to your admins accounts. Hope this clarifies it a little better.

Hi,

I had received an email that 7.0.05 would correct the issues with Exchange 2010 integration. I downloaded and upgraded my server, and still i am unable to get it to work. I sent the logs from my server back to support via my already open case number: 295950.

Thanks,
Alex

Just wanted to update, thanks to Adam's help @ SysAid, if you are running Exchange 2010 you need to add the following from the Exchange management shell on your Client Access Server:

Set-RpcClientAccess –Server servername –EncryptionRequired $False

Note: Please replace "servername" with the actual name of your Client Access Server.

For more details, please refer to https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd351072.aspx.

Is exchange 2010 supported now ?

Itay posted https://www.sysaid.com/Sysforums/posts/list/5187.page#22494 - does that mean it now works?
what rights have to be granted and how?

I tried installing CDO on the sysaid server and that did not make it work either.

Could you please provide the correct instructions for the set up of the user account on exchange 2010 as no-one has posted these yet.

Hi Techguy,

I will see if I can find my note from when I set this up. Basically I used the same "impersonate" commands that Blackberry Enterprise Server uses when setting up an account for it w/ Exchange.

Those commands were:

Now in the case above change "BES Admin EWS" to "SysAid" and the "BESAdmin" to the user account you are using with Sysaid for Exchange integration.

Then the next step after that is to run the command from the Exchange Command Console on the CAS server:

Note: Please replace "servername" with the actual name of your Client Access Server.

You don't need the CDO objects installed as Sysaid's implementation has that built in.

Hopefully that works for you. It took some trial and error on my part to get it to work.

I had not upgraded to 7.0.05, I was still on 7.0.04, today I upgraded to 7.0.05 and now it works,
BUT, I have gone in to my calendar settings and ticked al the boxes, but only new appointments I create seem to sync to my exchange calendar, no existing SR Due Dates are on my exchange calendar.

is this the way it works, can it only track new items that get added to your calendar after it is enabled? - in which case what is the past 30 days setting all about?

Im not currently using Exchange but using A Similar Email Server software called Kerio Connector, it works in the same way as Exchange but i will cant sync my calander.

I don't know if there will be any support for Kerio.

BTW Kerio is far more easier to setup, configure and troubleshoot then Exchange

I agree with TLSB.

We use MDaemon which is, in many ways, a real viable alternative to Exchange. Although the Redmond behemoth is hugely prevalent in the marketplace, it would be nice to see developers take notice of those of us who dont always sing from the same hymn sheet. Although I do appreciate that development should focus on the masses.
