Time zones and help desk operating hours

Our company has multiple plants in different time zones. We would like to be able to set Default Operating Times in the Help Desk for each of these time zones. Is this something that can be done? If not, can this be a possible enhancement in a future release?

Hi brberglund,

Can you clarify what is the purpose of this kind of setup and how it will be used?? Generally, you set up the times that your helpdesk is operating regardless of where the technicians are located.
You can also set up SLA/Company-based operating times as described in this help document.

We are one company with plants in different time zones. Each plant has it's own IT staff though we sometimes assist other plants. If we could associate these plants in the different time zones to show their operating hours it would be of great help. SLA and Company will not work in our scenario.

You could use Company to divide between each plant and associate each plant's workers with the relevant company that has its own operating hours. Would this work for you?

No, we often send people to other plants on a temporary basis.

If you don't wish to change the company association for that user temporarily, I guess this can be done either as a feature request - in which case please detail here how you would expect this to look like, and which purposes you will use it for; or as a special project - in which case please contact your account manager.
