How to monitor assets that are running but agent is missing or not running

We are trying to find a way to be notified or report on assets that the sysaid agent has been removed or is not running. What we are finding is this fails because workstations that are simply off report as the agent missing or not running.

What we are finding is many systems are not updating because of an issue with the agent and detecting those has been difficult.

Maybe custom monitor. If no data from agent and ping test succeeds something like that?

I submitted a feature request but was interested how others are handling this.

At last someone with the same problem as me!
I've had cases where the agent was installed, running but not synchronizing and no logs. And when talking to the SysAid partner, the answer was always: Reinstall the agent.

I don't think this should be the best alternative for a software company.
Anyway, we need a better way to keep up with the situation of the SysAid agent.

I was thinking about this lately, since we're about to start using the password reset tool. I am curious if there is a way to set a notification / ticket creation task against each Asset and when the Agent hasnt checked in, it would launch a ticket. I'm just not quite sure how to do that.
