Hi All,

Does anyone know where to change the End User Portal information. We want to remove the Urgency field from the end user portal completly but cannot find where to do it!!

Welcome to the forums,

this is simple when you know how! (I had to ask a while back)

Go in to helpdesk and select list.
Change the view at the top of the screen to EndUser instead of Default and then customise the view using the cog icon. These changes will be reflected in the end user portal.

Thanks for the quick response, i have done what you said but i still cannot see the field i need to remove, i think it is showing me the End User Portal fields that a user see's when the look at past requests (in table) but not the fields that they use when submitting a new request, make sense??

Ahh, sorry got the wrong end of the stick there....

The Sysaid FAQ says:

How can I customize SysAid?
Here are some ways you can customize SysAid:

1. End user screens

SysAid administrators can control the screens end users see. An FAQ (maintained by the administrators), and a list of the user's previous service requests, are optional.


Which I take to mean that you can turn off certain screens in the end user portal, but not necessarily customise them.
Thats all that is mentioned in the sysaid Manual as well. https://www.sysaid.com/down/SysaidUserManual.pdf

This thread says it is all html that you can edit , but it doesn't say how. https://www.sysaid.com/Sysforums/posts/list/48.page#54

Can anyone from sysaid clarify this please?

To remove a field from the "submit service request" page you will need to edit the HTML of this page.
You can find more information on how to edit the HTML files of the end user portal at https://www.sysaid.com/customize.htm

You can use the information I have posted there to find the syntax you need to remove to remove the urgency field.
