Hey everyone,

As you've probably noticed by now, your community received a major facelift yesterday and we now have a fully functional poll back in the community homepage. We will be updating the poll every few weeks to allow you to provide us with valuable inputs regarding our product and plans, as well your views on IT trends and some other fun stuff.

To kick things off, we've created a new poll to allow you to tell us what you think about the new look and feel of your community. We'd love to hear what you think.

Many thanks,

Sophie

I can not believe that this new website does NOT give us customers the ability to see and manage all threads that we have started.

Unfortunately only the bookmarks feature is available, but I wish there was a way to automatically bookmark all newly created threads, because it's a complete pain to have to keep on searching for your previous bygone threads when you need info from them.

I have requested this to be added in the next iteration of this website but it seems to have been completely disregarded.

I am still astonished at how it is possible that an industry standard feature like this is not available on this website.

Yes the look and feel are nice but in terms of what counts the most which is functionality, it's just as worse as the old website.

Hi CWR,
You can access all the topics you created, the messages that you posted & your bookmarks from your profile page: https://www.sysaid.com/Sysforums/user/profile/167439.page .

You can get to your profile directly from the personal menu.

Thanks for your feedback. As per our earlier announcements regarding the change of look and feel to the community, this was cosmetic only. You can read the post via the link below which explains why we were unable to change functionality at this time. It is something we are working on for 2015.

https://www.sysaid.com/Sysforums/posts/list/12344.page

In the mean time you can post your functionality requests (regarding the community) in the post below, which we are using to gather feedback to help us prioritize what features are most important to our customers.

https://www.sysaid.com/Sysforums/posts/list/12363.page

As such your request has neither been ignored nor disregarded. This round of updates were only cosmetic, the changes to the platform itself will come later. Your opinion, and that of others, will be vital to us in changing the Community to a new platform.

If you have any further concerns, please feel free to contact me.

Kind regards,

Sophie

Need a top-level search!
Way too many clicks to get into each board in order to search for anything. i.e. for me to search generally because I am not sure where a particular item *should be* posted categorically.

I simply cannot search for it from the main home page of the community itself. There should be one there. I really do not have time to pour through all of these various boards in order to run individual searches - so this means I will just have to open support tickets in the meantime I guess. That home page is busy - but is missing some of the most fundamental of modern day tools! Please fix that and soon. Thanks!

Hi Ancorp,

Regarding general search, this is possible. Please take a look at this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BY80Dl5nvug

We do have a minor issue at the moment with search in that not all results are showing correctly, but this is being worked on and will be rectified this week.

Please let me know if there is anything further that I can help you with.

Many thanks,

Sophie

I voted that I quite like the new look.

However the new look forums don't appear to work well when they appear at the bottom of the SysAid Help pages.

Hi nbt,

Please could you share a screenshot of what you mean?

The most important link that is missing from the top menu is your own End user portal! https://helpdesk.sysaid.com/

The existing support link takes you round the houses to get there. (requires 3 clicks to get there).

Hi TechGuy,

The reason we did it this way was to enable everyone to have access to all contact methods (support), vs. just end user portal. But you're quite right we should probably have this there.

Let me look at options and come back to you.

Many thanks,

Sophie

Hi TechGuy,

Support in the top bar now redirects to the End User Portal.

Re your second issue, I will get this looked at for you.

Many thanks,

Sophie
