Action ITEM - API - Python

Authentication issues when logging into SSP and Ticketing system

We are on-prem. No one can authenticate with their AD account, but pressing f11 will take you to the ssp logged in. So this work around is helping users create tickets. This also helps me as an admin get logged into the helpdesk. Though this may work it is not ideal.When logging into the helpdesk with ad account and password I receive “Incorrect login information.Letters must be typed in the correct case.Please make sure the Caps Lock key is disabled.”My account is not locked in AD and I’ve tried logging in using Chrome, Firefox, and Edge.When I use the domain\username I get “Wrong captcha”. We never used domain before - but figured I’d give it a go anyway.We did change to ldaps. Though I can’t remember if this problem happened before or after we changed this.Any ideas or more information I can provide?

Label "Survey status" in SR is not change by API

Hi Everyone,I’m facing a dumb issue herer. I have a Survey working very well making update by sysaid API.When a survey is done, there is a label call “Survey Status” in the SR that tell me that the survey was anwserd.  But When the ticket is mark as “Resolved”, the survey is send but the “Survey status” in the SR wasn’t change to “The survey was sent”.I’m trying to do this by API and I have no success. I'm studying the api and I realized that whenever I open a new service request it is automatically assigned to me. Is there a way to not attribute it to anyone?

Create End Users via API

Is it possible to create  end users via API (or is that on the roadmap)?  We are automating our onboarding process, and being able to do this would eliminate one more step our techs need to do when staff are hired.  Thank you!

SysAid API can't apply two conditions (or more?) in a GET

Hi to everyone.I would like to verify what is wrong with my API request, as I am simply calling a view and a date filter. If I execute the view only, it works correctly, and if I execute the date filter only, it returns records within that date range. Query Parameter Functionality Issue in SysAid API (V1)

Hello,I'm trying to understand how parameters work in the SysAid API. I've been using a request to retrieve service requests within a date range like so:https://myCompany.sysaidit.com/api/v1/sr?insert_time=1483246800000,1711152000000 However, when I add another query parameter to specify certain fields to be returned, neither of the two filters seems to work:https://myCompany.sysaidit.com/api/v1/sr?insert_time=1483246800000,1711152000000&fields=problem_type,alertID,CustomColumn17sr,sr_type,problem_sub_type,third_level_category,title,status,request_user,responsibility,priority,insert_time,close_time,due_date,update_time Does the SysAid API support more than one query parameter? If it doesn't, how should I structure the request according to the API's requirements?Thanks for your help!

API to create service request

REST API search not filtering on sub_type

I am using the REST API in order to do some cleanup. One aspect of this is to update the sub_type field on SR’s that are using old sub_type forms which I want to remove.  I tried issuing the search endpoint with the url:https://[env_name].sysaidit.com/api/v1/sr/search?query=*&fields=id,sub_type,problem_type&sub_type=31This is not working and returning me SR’s with sub_types that are not of the ID 31. Alternatively, I could send a request that filters on problem_type and the results are properly filtered. https://[env_name].sysaidit.com/api/v1/sr/search?query=*&fields=id,sub_type,problem_type&problem_type=SecurityWhy is sub_type specifically not being respected in the search? Thanks

Simulating SQL Like in the REST API /sr/search

Hello all, I needed to automate some things with python and the rest API. I put together a simple client - it’s very barebones right now but I’d like to encourage PR’s if you’d like to add features or functionality.https://github.com/Djones4822/pySysAidOnce I get what I need implemented I’ll consider adding features that folks request. Custom Column filter not works

Hello, i am using sysaid rest api and i tried to fetch a service records with a custom column, i used this example endpoint: https://[my_site]/api/v1/sr/search?query=*&CustomColumn9sr=3469262019072400036,and this endpoint return all of service records, the filter not working with custom columns but work with native keys, like status, department…, what can i do to works a custom column search?

Ok the API documentation is really bad for this.Lets say I have an SR with a key of this:        {            "key": "CustomColumn52sr",            "value": "d12f7702-2c0a-4f2e-b5c1-33100d2183f2",            "valueClass": "",            "mandatory": false,            "editable": true,            "type": "text",            "defaultValue": null,            "customColumnType": "string",            "valueCaption": "d12f7702-2c0a-4f2e-b5c1-33100d2183f2",            "keyCaption": "~Transaction ID"        }, I need to be able to search for the value d12f7702-2c0a-4f2e-b5c1-33100d2183f2. I have tried to put a search string together but I can’t figure it out. Anyone have done this before? Thanks!

Our users are no longer able to log on to SysAid using the domain and user credentials. It keeps on saying incorrect password even when entered correctly. Below its the screenshot of the setting selected.

Using SSO when clicking on the Desktop Shortcut

We use SSO for Sysaid but when it comes to the using the desktop agent/shortcut it wants to use the AD login information which doesn’t work with our setup.How can I get our agent settings to use SSO or asking the end user to login so that they can submit a ticket via the self-service portal?
