In Spaces, how do we enable the automatic prompt to ask if the user wants to assign the SR to themselves (assign to me) when resolving / closing an SR?

Hi there,

## “Assign to me” prompt on resolve/close in Spaces

You can enable the prompt that asks “Do you wish this Service Record to be assigned to you?” when changing status (e.g., to Resolved/Closed):

Classic UI path (applies to Spaces too):
1. Go to Settings > Service Desk > General.
2. Enable “Prompt to assign SR to the admin when modifying SRs” (wording may vary slightly).
3. Save.

Notes:
- If the prompt doesn’t appear, ensure browser pop-up blockers are disabled for your SysAid URL.
- The prompt triggers when an admin modifies status and the SR isn’t already assigned to them.
- In Spaces, the setting is inherited from the global Service Desk General options; there isn’t a separate Spaces-only toggle.

Need help finding the exact toggle name in your build? Tell me your build version (e.g., Cloud/On-Prem and version), and I’ll point to the precise label.

‘Prompt to assign SR to the admin when modifying SRs’ does not exist, ‘When an admin is not assigned to an SR and closes it, prompt the admin if to assign it to himself or not’ does exist and it is already checked.

Hi there,

I am currently further investigating on this matter and will follow up via email on Service Records 2585878 in order to ensure that this issue is resolved.

Thank you!
