I have had an IT manager request for an automation for creating a Sysaid ticket at the same time everyday. Is there a way to schedule with in Sysaid to make a new ticket or will I need to rely on an external trigger. For example creating a macro to email and rely on email rules to create the ticket?

I’d trigger it externally to be honest
triggered email, scheduled task or a cron job

Hi
In order to be able to schedule an automatic creation of a ticket in SysAid, you can use our Tasks & Projects module. This allows you to create a schedule a task which will trigger a notification that opens a ticket. Here’s an example how to set it up and what it looks like:
- To set this up, go to Settings> Tasks & Projects> Task Notification. Then click to create a new notification and define what the notification will do.
- Define the details of the SR that will be created.
- Create a task that will use this notification and in the Notifications tab define the frequency.
Hope this helps! Feel free to let us know if you need anything else.
