I have had an IT manager request for an automation for creating a Sysaid ticket at the same time everyday. Is there a way to schedule with in Sysaid to make a new ticket or will I need to rely on an external trigger. For example creating a macro to email and rely on email rules to create the ticket?

Hi @Arivera3D

In order to be able to schedule an automatic creation of a ticket in SysAid, you can use our Tasks & Projects module. This allows you to create a schedule a task which will trigger a notification that opens a ticket. Here’s an example how to set it up and what it looks like:

  1. To set this up, go to Settings> Tasks & Projects> Task Notification. Then click to create a new notification and define what the notification will do.
  2. Define the details of the SR that will be created.
  3. Create a task that will use this notification and in the Notifications tab define the frequency.

Hope this helps! Feel free to let us know if you need anything else.

I’d trigger it externally to be honest

triggered email, scheduled task or a cron job
