Disabled Assets

Hi, I am assigning groups to my assets and on some of them the field is grayed out and up top it says disabled and I'm not sure why. Any help on this would be appreciated

There could be a couple of reasons, I know that if we import assets and go over our limit then they will import them but they aren't active.

If you have multiple administrators with the rights to control assets someone could have disabled them if they are no longer in use.
