Hi exxteban,
Assets are related to Network Inventory, they are more likely "alive" items in your physical network. A semplification? Something that has an IP address and could be queried by SNMP/WMI scanning.

Configuration Item (CI) are all the items (but also database instance, websites, logical items, etc.) that describe your business process. You can create every kind of objects that helps you to get a clear logical map of your business or infrastructure. Please note that it's different from a Topological network map.
Assets are probably part of your CMDB, but not necessarily all assets are CI relevant for your business process.

Hope it helps 😉
Very clear.

Thank you so much.
