I’ve recently made an existing user an Administrator but they cannot see the ‘Admin Portal’ in the drop-down list when clicking on their name in the top-right of SysAid.  They have this option checked under Permissions.  Please advise.

It seems like the issue might be related to the permissions or the user account setup. Here are some steps you can follow to resolve this issue:

1. **Verify Permissions:**
- Navigate to Tools > User Management > Administrators.
- Select the user account you recently made an Administrator.
- Ensure that all necessary permissions, including 'SysAid Administrator', are enabled. If any permissions are missing, check them and save the changes.

2. **Check for Duplicate Accounts:**
- Sometimes, users might have duplicate accounts (one as an end user and one as an admin). The system prioritizes LDAP imported accounts over manually created ones.
- To resolve this, disable the manually created admin account and promote the end user account to an admin.

3. **Clear Browser Cache and Cookies:**
- Sometimes, browser cache and cookies can cause issues with accessing certain features. Clear the browser's cache and cookies, then try accessing the admin options again.

4. **Log Out and Log Back In:**
- After making any changes to permissions or accounts, ensure the user logs out and then logs back in to apply the changes correctly.

5. **Check SysAid Version and Logs:**
- Ensure that your SysAid installation is up to date. An outdated version might have compatibility issues.
- Check the SysAid server logs for any errors that might indicate what's causing the issue. You can find the logs in the SysAidServer directory under WEB-INF/logs and other specified folders.

If the above steps do not resolve the issue, it may be necessary to contact SysAid Support for further assistance. Provide them with details of the steps you've already taken, any error messages you've encountered, and the version of SysAid you are using.
