My team has been adding documentation to the knowledge base (FAQ) for our end users. A problem that I have noticed is that I cannot copy the link to specific pages in the FAQ, the link always defaults to the same page.

Is there a way to get a link directly to the KB article?

I cannot copy/paste the URL to a knowledgebase article to send a user directly to the document.

This is particularly a problem with announcements of new features and supporting documentation that is sent via other platforms (email). I cannot include a link for users to click to quickly access the documentation.

Is this functionality missing or am I missing something?

Thank you!

Hi @KAMartin,

To get a direct link to a knowledge base article you will need to enable the following option in Settings > Customize > Appearance > ‘Display ‘Switch to List view’ link in Knowledge Base page’.

After enabling this option, if you go to the Articles page you should see a button new button in the bottom right: ‘Switch to List View’.
Opening an article from this list view will allow you to get a direct link for it.

In case of any issues, please let me know and I can raise a ticket for this.

Thanks for the response, Adrian.

I can confirm that the setting is already checked. I attempted to uncheck and check it but noticed no change in behavior with the knowledgebase.

I do not see anything in the bottom right to switch the view.

Is there anything else to check/try?

Hi @KAMartin

In this case, please provide me with your email address (either here or in private) and I will raise a ticket in your name to look into this further.

This functionality is missing.  The instructions above also didn’t work for me. The only way I’ve found to get that viewing URL is to click print, and then change the print in the url to false.
