What is the limit for knowledge base article attachments? I am trying to attach webinar videos and it cuts them off. I tried to attach as a zip and the end users can’t download. I know the answer is front of me, but I can’t figure it out.
Attachments added to Knowledge Base Articles are subject to the same limitations as those added to Service Records, which means individual files can be uploaded as long as they are 50 MB or smaller. However, since the videos you are looking to upload are webinar recordings, they may exceed this size limit, making direct uploads more challenging.
For large video files, one approach is to split the videos into smaller segments and upload them in parts. This method can allow you to stay within the 50 MB limit per attachment, though it may require dividing longer webinars into multiple files.
Alternatively, for seamless access and to avoid space limitations, you could host the videos on external file-sharing or video-hosting platforms, such as Google Drive, SharePoint, or a corporate media server, if available. Once hosted externally, you can simply include a link to the video within the Knowledge Base article, allowing easy access without impacting the upload limits directly within SysAid.
This approach would not only simplify file management but also help maintain your Knowledge Base’s storage efficiency. Let us know if additional support is needed for this setup!
The issue we seem to be having is with videos - anything over 20 - it is cutting it off or not attching to KB article. It is the only attachment.
