Making sysaid pretty?

Hiya,

Apologies for this, as it might seem crude and ill-informed, but I am relatively new to designing and re-arranging SysAid on the back end of things, and the self service portal is coming live very soon - I was just wondering whether anyone had any basic tips for me to get the ball rolling in terms of making the Self Service Portal more personal to our company? (E.g: adding our colours, adding custom icons etc)

Any help would be much appreciated!

Izzy 🙂

Hey Izzy, Nothing we like better than making your SysAid pretty :) for Self Service Portal settings check here https://community.sysaid.com/help-page.htm?helpPageId=15051 for Banner specs: https://community.sysaid.com/help-page.htm?helpPageId=15191 Building your service catalogue: https://community.sysaid.com/help-page.htm?helpPageId=16117

Hi Izzy,
I attached a screen shot of our portal.
I have 3 pieces of advice.

1) If you have access to webserver you can enhance the header area with HTML.
Build out an basic page somewhere and then include that URL as an iFrame, with a height of about 275 - 300 px.
Note it will need to be a public page, so don't put anything on there you wouldn't want someone to "stumble" across.
We use this instead of the "banner"

2) Buy some better icons - sure there are free icons and some icons included with the product but that is kind of limiting. For about $20, you can get month subscription to something like, https://www.flaticon.com/ and get more tailored icons that match your brand.

3) If you have high use request/incident templates - use links to drive to those directly rather than category pointer, because the category pointer when clicked requires a second click to "request" or "incident" even if there is only one option.

Good luck,
Jason
