Has anyone successfully install the SysAid Agent on a Windows 10 PC?

Do the Operating System show up in the OS column?

The OS Type columns show me "null Professional [6.2.9200]."

I found this on the forum:
"
This is a known bug #18285, which will be fixed in Cloud 15.3.5 in about 3-4 weeks and in the future version of On-Premise"

This is already available in the Cloud Version, I've successfully added 4-5 laptops/pc's and Sysaid is happily reporting that Windows 10 is installed...Sysaid v15.3.50 b26

How did you get it to install? I've tried a couple different ways, all fail. I'm having problems in general though, with the agent deployment process

Any news on this? I would like to see what version of Windows 10 my clients have installed.

BTW, I have the Spring 2017 Onsite version. I

I have successfully installed the clients on Windows 10. You do need to make sure the remote registry service is running.

Hi topher27,

There shouldn't be any problem installing on Windows 10.

Cheers,
Danny

The problem for me wasn't installing Windows 10. It's that I can't report which build of windows 10 my clients have. Example 1607 vs 1709.

You can view the build number under the Software tab for each asset (under the Operating System section). This is also available in the asset list as a field - Operating System Version.

Cheers,
Danny

If it won't install on a Windows 10 machine make sure the Remote Registry services is set to Manual(Trigger Start). In windows 10 this is set to Disable by default.

Sysaid does not pick up the Windows 10 version correctly. Under Operating System Version I get a number like this:
6.2.9200, but this represents a general operating system and not the Windows build level such as 1607. In researching the 6.2.9200 number this is actually Windows 8 which is incorrect anyway. I attached a screen shot.

Would it be easier to open a support ticket?

This shouldn't occur.

This is how it appears on a test system here:

As you can see, the correct build number appears. I suggest you check that the asset in question is reporting properly and updating the inventory, or contact our support team for further investigation.

Cheers,
Danny
