Hello,

I was advice by my Sysaid rep that Sysaid will no longer be creating an upgrade for Linux. He advised me to move our current Sysaid from Linux server to Windows.

Here is my Current Linux Server:

Rhel 5
MySQL
SysAid Version: v15.2.05 b5
Tomcat: apache-tomcat-7.0.42

My question is how can I move my current database to New Windows MSSQL server.

Hi uenwesi,

To clear any misunderstandings - there will be future Linux updates, and they are our in our release pipeline. However, there is currently no exact ETA for this, which is why if an upgrade is urgent, we recommend migrating the server to Windows. The current lack of a Linux upgrade is due to specific issues we have encountered with Tomcat upgrades and some additional kinks which the team is working on fixing in a future release. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

Regarding your request - from my understanding of this process it is not necessary to migrate from MySQL to MSSQL. I understand that you have an open ticket on this, so I suggest continuing working with our support team. You will be contacted today to continue with the process.

Thanks,
Danny

Hi crrusu,

There is a beta version of SysAid Linux available. Please contact our customer support team regarding this, or alternatively - for migration to Windows if you prefer.

Cheers,
