Important Notice: SysAid is Sunsetting its End-User Portal

Did you know that SysAid’s Self-Service Portal, which is the modern and more sophisticated cousin of the End-User Portal (EUP), was launched a couple of years ago? Literally thousands of our customers have enjoyed the benefits of this tool and now it’s time for you to do so too. With any legacy solution comes its limitations and security risks. This is why we’ve made the decision to sunset the EUP, so that you don’t become exposed to these vulnerabilities. Not to mention, the Self-Service Portal is just way better. SysAid Incident - Login issues caused by Certificate Error in Browser - 2 May 2022

Hi all, On 2 May 2022, between 19:50-22:00 UTC, some customers using the Google Chrome browser experienced certificate errors that prevented users from logging in to their system. It originated with changes to Google’s infrastructure and process of evaluating valid certificates. We resolved the error within three hours of notification. Important Update regarding Apache Log4j

As you are most likely aware, a critical vulnerability in Apache Log4j, a logging library that’s used in millions of Java-based applications, came to light over the weekend. SysAid is addressing this vulnerability on two fronts – with an immediate workaround as well as the release of both Cloud and On-premises versions that include a fix. We strongly encourage you to implement the workaround as soon as possible. Based upon our initial analysis, we do not expect customers to experience any impact as a result of the workaround. Bulk editing Helpdesk Service Requests

I’m unsure where this post needs to go so Im posting it here. Is there any way to bulk edit helpdesk service requests. The only bulk option I can see on the top menu is to change the status field of requests. I need to be able to change the date & also categories of a load of requests at once rather than going through 300 individual requests. I'm running v6.0.09

Windows 7 - Where do you stand?

We at SysAid haven’t been the only ones busy preparing for a major release – on October 22, Microsoft released the latest version of Windows, Windows 7. Bill Gates promised Newsweek that Windows 7 will be more “user-centric” and will focus on “performance improvements.” Many SysAiders, especially those disappointed with Vista’s performance, aren’t so sure. SysAid Community discussion threads are full with concerns about this next version of Microsoft. Rene Rijk: “We’ll stick to XP as long as possible. Vista is bad and Windows 7 is way too early to implement.” Defector: “Microsoft has listed Windows 7 as a minor release. Makes me think they brought out a poorly functioning product, applied tons of patches, and TA-DA! We have Windows 7.” Lev: “Vista didn’t prove itself and there is no reason to upgrade.” Other SysAiders take a more enthusiastic approach towards Windows 7 and have even enlisted as Windows Beta testers. Hi SysAiders, We decided to call this new WorkShop Series “I didn’t know I can do that!” because this is what we hear all the time from so many of you guys. Seriously. That’s going to change. Because not only are we going to run these workshops with you – and our best SysAid trainers – but we’ve also opened a new Forum, where we can discuss issues and help each other. First workshop is for the new SysAid’s Worksafe app, the free add-on that simplifies daily self-reporting of health statuses and location, while automatically alerting management to potential exposure at work. Security enhancements - relevant to Cloud customers only

Hi Cloud customers, Please note that as part of our ongoing commitment to security, we're tightening the secured connection to our services. As of May 10, 2020, we'll be blocking the older non-supported TLS protocol versions 1.0/1.1, and will only allow the more advanced secured versions. So please be aware that if you're using very old browsers, you won't be able to access our services. You'll need to ensure that all machines that are running the SysAid agent use a .NET Framework of 4.6 or higher that supports higher TLS protocols. Workflow Designer has launched!

It's official! SysAid's new Workflow Designer has launched and we couldn't be more excited about all the amazing benefits it will bring you. Workflow Designer is included in the SysAid Full Edition. If you have the SysAid Basic Edition and would like to take advantage of this new feature, reach out to your Customer Success Manager to discuss upgrading - at no additional cost (until end of July 2020). Workflow Designer will be enabled for cloud customers in the coming 4-5 weeks, stay tuned for more information. We’ll be sure to notify you in advance, so be on the lookout.
