Antivirus real-time scan exclusions

Hi Is it safe to exclude any folders from antivirus real-time scanning on an on-prem SysAid server? I've had a search for antivirus exclusions for SysAid but haven't really found much SysAid agent mentions white listing "\Program Files\SysAid" Patch Management mentions white listing "C:\ProgramData\GFI" I didn't find anything specific for an on-prem server The reason I ask is that we've been having an issue where SysAid seemed to freeze randomly every half an hour (it would be come unresponsive for about 3 minutes when people tried accessing it via a web browser). There would be a CPU usage spike at the same time, task manager showing the System process spiking. I thought I'd try excluding C:\Program Files\SysAidServer\ and C:\ProgramData\GFI\ from real-time scans on the server to see what would happen It seems to have fixed the issue, but I'm just concerned that if someone uploads an infected file, or something, it could infect the server and then spread to other things.

15.2.05 b5 Pro Version Installer

Hello I am after the installer for Windows Server 15.2.05 b5 Pro Editition (MSSQL) as i need to recover from a server that has a bricked firewall that is only allowing to copy outwards so i can only reach the Sysaid console via vmware console. Does anyone have a link to this? Also is there an old guide available?

How to remove old sysaid agent

I have sysaid agent 9.0.53 deployed on some machines for which the server is gone for good. There is no uninstall in add/remove programs and the service is running. What is the best clean way to remove it?

Deploy Agent with no Shortcut

Hello, Is there any way to deploy the agent and NOT have the shortcut show on the Desktop. I know I can turn off the hotkey but I also need to turn off any and all ticket submitting, So I only want the agent to collect data (hardware and software and user login,.. ) and maybe use it to do remote desktop. Thanks ....

F11 Hot Key and Shortcut not working

Just wondering if anyone else has had issues with client machines whereby the F11 hotkey and the Sysaid shortcut fails to launch the end user portal to log a request? Current steps taken: Tested with another user account on same machine fails to load for any user. Had user log onto different PC and confirmed it works - OK. Re-deployed agent to machine, checked and confirmed registry settings from known good install. Currently have about 10 or so machines experiencing same issue. Id prefer to re image the machines as a last resort. Any advice/ thoughts welcome :)

Good day, I am currently using SysAid onsite version v19.4.41 b12 and about to upgrade to v21.2.35. I want to let users know what has changed between the versions. Is there somewhere that documents the changes in each version? Thanks

Error 404 on sysaid-linux.sh script agent

Hi everybody, We are trying to deploy SysAid in our Linux Servers. In this early stage we are doing it manually in one of our dev servers. We have uncompressed the tar.gz and we run the script and... nothings happens, no error and everything seems correct. But in our Sysaid our new server doesn't appear in assets list Doing some troubleshooting with sysaid-linux.sh script we got this error: Resolving XYZ.xyz.com (xyz.xyz.com)... A.B.C.D Connecting to XYZ.xyz.com (XYZ.xyz.com)|A.B.C.D|:8080... connected. HTTP request sent, awaiting response... 404 2021-07-08 11:27:56 ERROR 404: (no description). Any ideas? Having trouble creating a certain view.

I'm trying to create a custom view that shows all tickets that are status in (OPEN_CLASSES) but under a certain admin's name Some things I've tried that do not work in static filter: status in (OPEN_CLASSES) AND responsibility = 'jdoe' user_name = 'jdoe' AND status in (OPEN_CLASSES) Multiple attempts just break the viewer or return no results.

Cannot force HTTPS over HTTP

We have enabled SSL on our sysaid server, as we are planning to open the server up to networks outside of our company network. This way we can use the mobile app and push notifications. But before we open the server, we want to force the usage of HTTPS, so only secure connections are allowed. Our http port is 9090 and our https port is 8443. On-Prem - Old upgrade files

Hi. Due to some problems that have occurred in recent years, I'm stuck on version v17.3.57 b2 MSP (64bit) with my Sysaid on-prem installation. We are under maintenance subscription and we would start the upgrade process to reach the latest Sysaid version. We have to follow the upgrade path, so we need all mandatory intermediate installation packages. The website area with "older versions" repository is missing. Where can we find all needed packages? Can someone help me to find theese files? Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me. Best regards Marco

How to reset admin account password for SysAID Free Cloud?

Hi, Having difficulties accessing our SysAID Free Cloud portal and no longer able to login using the original admin account provided. Have tried the password reset option but it does not recognize any combination off account name and email address that I can think of. Is there any way to get the password reset? Cannot install Free - Claims SQL instlled on a new server

Started with cloud version. Could never get LDAP to work .. Chat was less than useless. Downloaded on-premise version but it tells me that it cant install with an existing SQL server. Thi is a new server ... Only Sentinel One, and VMware tools installed. Would Windows Interal DB be seen as SQL or the presence of IIS ? How do I find what it thinks is a running instance ? SysAid free server installation failed

Hi, I'm trying to install sysaid free server on Microsoft windows 2016 server and I'm Getting error 440 message: Setup has detected a possible infinite loop in the script with function (some Chinese letters). Make sure you are handeling the error return codes properly. Any Idea?

Uninstall problem after setup not finished

I try to install Sysaid Free to Win2012R2, but there is SQL server active, and installation are "hang". Now I cannot remove program from Programs (say error: The setup has detected that no version of Sysaid server Free is installed. ) but program are listen in add remove programs and have folder in Program files. How to remove remains ??

Email integration not working

Hi, I'm running a free cloud version to test it out and when I go to integration > email the smtp and pop3 account settings tests run successfully, but I'm unable to save any of the incoming and outgoing email settings... clicking ok or apply doesn't do anything. So secondly, rather than add a new entry to the list, I tried to modify the default, but I'm also unable to save any of the settings. Any ideas? Thank you.

Sysaid Removal - Certificate Authority

Hi, SysAid was removed a while back by a previous employee however we have a certification authority running on a server which I want to decommission and it is running as SERVERNAME-CA-SysAid I wondered whether this was a default installation configuration and is just left over from a previous engineers cleanup attempt? Its providing certificates to the devices in Trusted Root Certification Authority as well as Intermediate Certification Authority. wasnt sure where to put this question within the forums

Install Failing at MSSQL Install

I'm trying to install SysAid Free on a Server 2012 R2 VM and the install is failing at MSSQL install with the error failed to start MSSQL Service. Any idea what the issue is? The server is up to date and currently blank.

Installation issue with version 20.2.15

Hello, I was trying to download the version 20.2.15 https://www.sysaid.com/product/on-premise/latest-release?utm_source=SysAid-Product&utm_medium=after-login-message&utm_campaign=on-premise-upgrade-1020-advisory-alert after receiving a link when I opened the application today. What do I need to do to be able to download the updated version? Also in our case we have version 18.1.54.b3 that was first installed in November 2019. Based on the above link we would could only upgrade to version 20 if we have version 19. Since we have version 18, what do we need to do to be able to upgrade to version 20.2. Please note we are currently using the free version. Thanks, Roger

Question change file location attachments

Hi there, I read that by default attachment are saved in a table inside the database. We would like to change this and save attachments in a folder outside the database. Is it possible to enable saving attachments, which are part of an SR, to a custom folder location? I did found a tweak to a configuration file which enables saving attachments outside of the database but to a certain folder of the Sysaid installation. Is it possible to change the location where the attachments are saved? Kind regards, Thimo Verveer

Moving from SQL 2008 to 2019 & Server OS

Hi I have copied the SysAid SQL DB from the old server to the new & have run the installation & got to the point of "initializing the main users account", however it always fails I have tried to look at the conf files and tried resetting on the old server then copying the DB across again but to no avail What do you do if you have done these as has anyone else had these issues?
